Happy Lunar New Year ! ♥

Although I couldn’t spend this Lunar New Year at home with my family and although the weather was just horrible today I had a good time with my friends who accompanied me to the Vien Giac Pagode in Hannover ♥

Finally arrived at the pagoda!

Arrived when it was starting to rain, so my camera lens had raindrops on it (

It’s a kind of new experience for me to go praying all by myself so I was glad my friends came along (they weren’t even all Buddhist)

When we arrived there the Pagoda really looked scary and abandoned.

Because it's New Year the Pagoda looked like a haunted place because usually it should have been flooded with people...

Because of the bad weather there was nearly no one (outside) in spite of the big Spring Festival, but in the end we did find some people in the hall and downstairs at the stage and the food booths.

People were gathering downstairs because of the bad weather and cold outside~

After praying we got traditionally lucky money and a mandarin as well as a cute piggy bank for free ♥ x3 Earlier this day I was just thinking about buying one so this may be real luck! Haha ~

Unfortunately there wasn’t a lot like usual but at least I was able to buy a lot of Rice Cakes and Banh Bao ♥♥♥

Later when we went home a really hard hail combined with icy wind and rain hit us with no mercy so that we were completely soaked!

Having a good start into Lunar New Year, at least we can take heart with the cute piggy banks and the Lucky Money haha ♫

The suddenly arrived 'Letter' which I should take from the post station turns out to be Arisa-chan's package for me ♥ I was soo excited to open it, so I already started to unpack it a tiny bit during lecture haha xD

Day two – Grandmother’s Grave ~

With my aunts Co3 & Co Trang, my Grandpa and my two Cousins (Ti and Li) we took a taxi to my Grandma’s grave in Thu Duc early in the morning.

In the taxi I noticed that the driver had a cool radio station !
Whatever Radio station it was, I’d like to have it too !! ♥
There was American,Korean, Chinese, and Japanese music as well as New Vietnamese music x3
I wonder which station we were listening to hm…

Election Campaign

On the way we saw a election campaign because the election will be in a few days. It really made a lot of noise and many people were participating…

The campaign was really long but I couldn't take a good pic of it >__<

Later I went with Co 3 to a Gold Shop in Cho Vuong Chuoi (Banana Garden Market) and she bought me a pendant made out of white gold (*__*)~♥ (Actually I was changing it with my pair of gold earrings which were broken..)

Each time I am in Vietnam I have to visit at least once the bookstores in HCMC :3
Well for this reason I took a short visit at Nguyen Van Cuu Bookstore and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Bookstore, two of the biggest and (out of my 3 favourite) bookstores in the city.

Day One

Today I got a Vietnamese simcard for my mobile.

The simcard is from Mobifone, one of the popular providers next to Viettel and Vinaphone. Just right after I put it in, I instantly got 20 new SMS and 1 unknown call ö.ö (the SMS were of course advertisement stuff)…

After that I went to the market with Co 3 and we bought lots of food and some clothes. ‘Walking’ around the market makes me realize:

The vietnamese market is not for the faint-hearted !

You can often find market barkers around there ( I just met one who was calling :”Me oi, Me!”, which means something like “Mama mia!” xD). It sounded really passionate *lol*. But also begglars are often around there. Sometimes you see little children, disabled or really old people who are selling lottery tickets.

Some can be very obtrusive but some really make you feel pity for them :/

When I let my hair cut in the evening I went shopping with Di 3.

We were looking for draperies to tailor me some ‘Bo Do Bo’ (vietnamese typical In-House-Clothing).

Then we went to a special fashion shop to buy me jeans and tops. Because my aunt knows the vendor we were taken to the shop upstairs for the ‘V.I.P.s’ xD

I looked for the Copic Shop (in Le Thi Rieng Street) but unfortunately it was closed so we visited Ba 5 and after that bought a delicious cold smoothie (Sousop Fruit) ♥

Today was my flight to Vietnam ! ♥

: Bremen Airport

Some weird situations which happened to me on the way to VN :

I. 18:05, Bremen, Germany

Woman: *hit me with her luggage accidentally* Oh, I’m so sorry !
Me : Don’t worry. No Problem ^^
Woman : Gehen Sie ruhig durch ! ^^
Me : …öhm.. danke ? ö.ö

She could have just speak German right away but whatever xD

II. 18:35, Bremen, Germany

*indefinable noise and a loud crash*

Pilot: Ladies and gentlemen, the present turbulences may occur more often during this flight [...].

It just sounded like the airplane was going to hit the ground though we were already in the air…

III. 20:50, Frankfurt, Germany

Women: *with strange accents and wide-opened eyes**shouting* Jakarta ? Jakarta !!

We: Uhm…no ? xD

While waiting at the airport for the flight to Bangkok…some strange women came towards me and some other waiting passengers. They didn’t seem to notice that we were sitting next to a screen which displayed ‘To Bangkok’…

IV. Made a new Friend

When I was sitting around waiting at Frankfurt APT, I met some other Vietnamese who were a mostly older than me. One was a friendly guy who I lend my mobile because he had no SIM card for Germany. He seemed to be a student from VN.

Another one was a young woman (Chi Sang) who came from South Vietnam, too and is living with her husband in Germany.

We started talking and became friends and fortunately we also had our seats next to each other.

It turned out that she had to fly back to VN because her father died and she told me a lot about her family.

I really hope that she is okay, now. I’m really happy to have had her as my seat neighbour. It made the flight less arduous and we also had some funny moments and a lot to laugh.

Bangkok Airport

Later, we both met many other Vietnamese on board who neither could speak German nor English.
We decided to take them with us because at least I was able to speak German (and English) so that I could ask for the way.
In Bangkok it’s always very difficult to find your gate because the airport is not just big but also confusing with the stairs and doors (!) which leads to another part of the airport.
We nearly got lost if we hadn’t ask.
When we were still sitting on the plane there was an old couple who seemed not to know what to do and where to go on the airport and then decided to just stay on the plane.
When we were down at the airport we feel worried about the ols woman and man so we looked for them on our way.
When we finally found the gate we saw them already sitting in the VIP block because they had travel guides xDD
However, we went over to them just to check out if everything was okay because the old woman was somehow worried.
It turned out that she was looking for her husband but she couldn’t notify that to the guides so I helped her with translating everything into English.
I really had to translate a lot on this flight because all the Vietnamese there weren’t able to understand English but at least I was happy that I could help them and on top of that, luckily I was so used to English with Asian accent so that I could understand the board/airport personal without big problems :’D

Bangkok APT

: Meal on Lufthansa

There was a very friendly German stewart on the flight and it was quite funny how he always spoke English with me but German with Chi Sang.

Waited until 22:40 (GTZ+1) in Frankfurt.

The flight from Frankfurt to Bangkok took altogether 9 hors and 55 minutes (a total of 5597 miles).

Extremely exhausting !!

Really enjoyed puzzling this little house and the characters on it are really cute.

There are thousands of different versions with different buildings etc. you don’t have to cut anything but simply pull the soft paperboard shapes out of the given board piece and puzzle it together.

Easy, Fast, Fun ! ♥

why don’t you check it out or build one yourself ? (^-^)v

Unfortunately I don’t know where to buy it in Germany but I guess it might be found somewhere to order on the Internet haha xD
